Meet Kristine

Owner | Licensed Esthetician | Skin Specialist

Hi I’m Kristine — I grew up here in Hawai‘i with parents who immigrated from the Philippines. They taught me the value of hard work, and like many Filipino households, they hoped I would become a nurse. I followed that path but graduated as a respiratory therapist and worked at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for five years. At first, I thought I had “made it.” But over time, I realized something was missing — I wanted to serve others in a way that felt truly aligned with my heart. During COVID, I believe God gave me a new vision. I went back to school, became an esthetician, and in 2021 opened my small business, Skin Intentions & Wellness, in Kaimukī.

Skincare, to me, isn’t just surface-level. Living in the islands, our skin faces sun, salt water, and everyday stress. Caring for our skin is also caring for our wellness — it’s an act of self-respect. My mission is to help people feel confident and cared for, whether through anti-aging support, acne treatments, or simply creating a space to slow down and restore physically and spiritually. 

One of my biggest lessons has been teaching clients that skincare isn’t a quick fix. It’s consistency and care over time. By staying true to that message, I’ve built trust and deep relationships, which have become the heart of my business.

We provide more than facials — we create customized experiences for every client. We address client concerns like pigmentation, mature skin, acne, rosacea, and eczema with treatments that combine both holistic care and science-based technology. Each client receives a tailored skin care regimen, and we also incorporate lymphatic facial drainage massage to promote healing from within.
